Antique Portable 'His Master's Voice' Phonograph

R 2,450.00

This phonograph dates from the 1930's. It is the earliest version of a boombox, since you could close the case and easily carry it with you wherever you want, and since it is a wind-up and doesn't work with electricity, you could even take it along on a picnic.

It plays 78 rpm records (which are still readily available in thrift stores) and it comes with two packets of Gallotone one play steel needles (200 all together). These needles are also still available if one look around, as are the coated brass needles with which you can play about 10 records.

Condition: Wear consistent with age. Good character.

Dimensions: 39.5 x 29.5 x 16 cm
